Just Pics and a Little Update

We had a good, encouraging visit with the doctor today who is wonderful and reassured Sister that the different things she is experiencing are normal.  Her body didn't get where it is overnight.  He explained that she needs to be patient but for the most part what she is experiencing is her body beginning to recognize and fight back against the foreign invader.  Fear and anxiety are definite foes in this battle.  Jesus Himself told us that fear is useless and that what is needed is trust in Him, no matter where He leads.  The doctor is happy with where Sister is, at the 2 week mark, and reminded her that she will be at this work for months to come.  So, as Sister said:  "just be patient.  It will take time."

It is quite amazing, the power of words to bring peace and clarity.  So important for all of us to maintain a positive spirit.  Today we will just share some pics of the local Church here where we go to Mass (Our Lady, Star of the Sea), some of the people and activities here, and of course, more of the ocean.

    Praying for you Sister, we haven’t met but I know Sr. Anne Marie Walsh and worked with some of the Sisters in Belize and Guatemala. So that makes us brother and sister.

The Resurrected Body

Easter is a time for reflection on many things: the victories Christ has won for us over sin, the  flesh, the devil, death and hell. We also receive a pledge of the joy and peace and light and transformation He promises through the witness of His own Paschal mystery, the promise of empowerment with the coming of the Holy Spirit, the call to mission, and many other things besides. This is the Day the Lord Has Made!

This is the day the Lord has made!  Let us rejoice and be glad in it! A message from Sister Lucina: "How Merciful and loving is the Lord!! My news was better that expected this morning In the week before I arrived at the clinic my cancer markers more than doubled. My test results show no spreading and the cancer markers in these three weeks went DOWN 10 points!!!!!!!!! I am speechless and so very great grateful. Thank you everyone for all your prayers. I will enjoy these two next weeks with my family ❤️" Please continue your prayers.  This is great news and we only want it to get better and better.  This indicates that Sister's cancer has been arrested and is responding to the treatments.  Over time we want to see the continued decrease in the cancer present in Sister's body, until it is no more.  It will require a faithfulness to the protocols, but given they are not bebilitating in their effects, Sister should be able to stick to it while...
